Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data CustomSpinnerWheel.com does and does not collect when you use the site. It's written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate because the actual data practices are simple enough that plain language covers it.
1. What we do not collect
No account required. You do not need to sign up, provide an email address, or identify yourself in any way to use any tool on this site.
Wheel entries stay in your browser. Whatever names, options, prompts, or entries you type into any spinner tool on this site are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to any server and are not stored in any database. When you close the tab, that data is gone unless you have explicitly used the share-link feature (see Section 3 below).
No behavioral ad tracking. We do not run third-party behavioral advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or advertising networks that profile your browsing behavior across sites.
2. What we do store
Tool ratings and feedback
If you submit a star rating on a tool page, that rating is stored in our database. The data stored is: the tool identifier (e.g. "decision-wheel"), the star rating value (1–5), and a general timestamp. No user identifier, username, email address, or IP address is stored alongside the rating. Ratings are anonymous by design.
Browser-local preferences
Some tool preferences — such as dark/light mode toggle, sound mute state, and spin duration — are saved in your browser's localStorage so they persist between page reloads. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings.
3. Share links and URL state
The share-link feature encodes your wheel entries into the URL as a query parameter (e.g. ?entries=...). If you copy and share this URL, anyone who receives it can see the entries you added because they are embedded in the URL itself. No server processes or stores these entries — the URL is simply a convenient way to share your wheel state with others. If your entries contain sensitive information, do not use the share-link feature.
4. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage — things like which pages are visited, which tools are most popular, and approximate geographic distribution of traffic. This data is aggregated and does not include personally identifiable information. We do not cross-reference analytics data with any user identity. If you use an ad blocker or privacy extension that blocks analytics scripts, the site functions identically — no functionality is lost.
5. Embedded wheels (iframe embeds)
If you embed a CustomSpinnerWheel.com tool on your own website using the iframe embed code generator, the embedded tool runs exactly the same as the hosted version. No additional tracking is injected into the embed. Visitors to your site who interact with the embedded wheel do so directly in their browser with no data sent to our servers beyond what the main site collects (aggregated analytics, if any).
6. Hosting and infrastructure
The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log standard server request metadata (IP address, request timestamp, user agent) at the infrastructure level for operational purposes. This is standard web hosting behavior and is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy. We do not access or use this infrastructure-level log data for user profiling.
7. Changes to this policy
If we materially change what data we collect or how we use it, we will update this page with a new "Last updated" date. We will not retroactively change practices that affect data already collected without disclosing that change here.
8. Contact
Privacy questions or data inquiries can be submitted directly through our contact form. Because we collect minimal data and don't tie anything to user identities, most data subject requests won't require any action — there is no personal profile to delete or export. But if you have a specific concern, reach out through the form and we will respond promptly.
